Counselling

Counsellor and Client at table

Having MS is difficult, not just physically but emotionally too. It is not uncommon to experience mental health issues as a result. If you are feeling scared, confused or unable to cope, you are not alone.

At the Centre, we know that it is equally important to provide help and support for the emotional aspects of MS as for the physical effects. Counselling is one of the core services that we offer to help with this.

More About Counselling

You don’t have to be newly diagnosed with MS to have counselling at the Centre.  The number of sessions each person receives will depend on individual needs. You may need one session to help you understand your feelings or you may benefit from a series of appointments.

Counselling is a safe place which allows you to talk about any issues. It won’t solve your problems but it can help you understand your emotions and their impact, then develop mechanisms to manage them.

Contact from individuals or healthcare professionals welcomed.
